So Be It 03:34
There’s my lucky number There’s my favorite place If only I were young If only I were alive today I would not be afraid of the fire within I could learn from my heart and re-invent love again To rise above and beyond the way that it’s always been So I could rest in my soul with the sun and the stars So be it There’s my childhood corner There’s my mother’s face There’s an open door If only my past were alive today Well I would not be afraid of the voice within I’d learn to question my faith and reinvent god again To rise above and beyond the way that it’s ways been So then I could rest in my soul with the sun and the starts So be it For every moment I lost to the past For every moment I thought would last Now I have come here to start again For every moment I’ve wasted. And now this days before me There’s my sisters face Recently she warned Appreciate you’re alive/ life today So I will not be afraid of the heart within I’ll learn to question my fate and reinvent my life again To rise above and beyond the way that I’ve always been So I can rest in my soul with the sun and the stars.

about

For the Death of Dustin Essary: a music novel

I know, sounds counter intuitive, doesn’t it? My idea was to have a retrospective of my songs embedded into the storyline of the book
(about how I started writing songs in the first place) with the lyrics included. So, as you read along with the lyrics, you can hear the
song at the same time, which is supposed to lead you sonically and poetically back to the next part of the story! Key words: supposed to.
And since my idea is a little unusual, we found the best way to
release it is through this paid membership site.
